This Chinese New Year McDonald's has launched the Strawberry Pie! Time for a jaunt to figure if the Strawberry Pie is worthy of your taste buds!

The Sight
The McDonald’s Strawberry pie has a really nice pink packaging. Just looking at it, one will notice the pinkish hue on its outer flaky skin in contrast to the golden yellow crust that the original apple pie has. A little overflowing of the fillings going on, leaving salmon pink drip marks on the crust.
The Smell
It doesn’t really have a strong smell. Just the smell of butter from the crust. But once you bite in, it’s an aroma bomb. The sweet and slightly sour fragrance of strawberries gushes out.
The Sound
The pie is crunchy when eaten fresh and a little less crunchy but still hard when eaten cold.
The Taste
It’s sweet! The kind of sweet that will make your throat a little dry and heaty. You might want to drink more water after eating it. But the semi-jellied strawberry jam inside tasted pretty decent. Just a shame that we didn’t manage to taste any solid strawberries.
The Verdict
The strawberry pie sure is a fresh new take on McDonald’s pie although it doesn’t really leave a huge impression. On special occasions such as Chinese New Year, great pick but it’ll never beat the original McDonald’s apple pie that has been a staple for many years.
